1/7/2024 0 Comments Ebay success iceberg photo![]() ![]() They could rob you, also you will have to LEAVE your house and meet them someplace if you do NOT want the buyer to know where you live!Īll this eats up time and we're talking labor hours, I can see today a lot of "sellers" value their time poorly, maybe they even think time is free, I can not explain it another way but my time is worth money so if I spend two HOURS trying to pass an item off to a buyer for cash that is money I'm not getting paid.īuyers have the opportunity to review you there as well, and thus is born the "the item you sold me is now broken and I want my money back" guarantee. I mean at least half the time it's no show or they are one or two HOURS late if they ever show at all, this happens a LOT!īuyers WILL haggle with you too, AND you take a risk also. Buyers don't show or show up late ALL the time! With heavy big items I decided it would be easier and better to use Facebook to sell those for local pickup since ebay doesn't really lend itself to that method, also I was past trying to ship those kind of things (like lawn mowers). What about your "other online selling platforms?" Facebook Marketplace? CraigsList? Mercari? Poshmark? Alibaba? OfferUp? LetsGo? Those are all I can think of-have I left any of your "other online selling platforms" out? In regard to returns, what have your experiences been on those venues? There are just as many shifty eBay sellers as there are shifty eBay buyers. You can't think those two return processes are anywhere nearly the same. That buyer gets a warning then the don't see any difference between returns on Amazon (which it's perfectly fine to post on these discussion boards, BTW-you don't have to use "the river") being sent back to an Amazon warehouse/FBA, staffed by Amazon employees, and eBay returns being sent back to an individual seller?Ĭ'mon. Try returning a rock or empty package to fba. If this happens at the river their warehouse puts the inventory back ready to sell and im covered. (not to mention the case-closed-without-seller-resolution defect they do not suffer this problem at my other online selling platforms. ![]() as anyone can send something to a buyer and show eBay a completely different picture, that they claim they really sent. and refunding the buyer Without requiring the buyer to return first. That they Must accept the return, before a refund. (true, a seller can also refund them Without a return, if a seller chooses to)īut, in a not-as-described dispute, the seller basically should understand under the Money Back Guarantee, if they claim it's not as described. they agree that eBay will allow buyers to return items for a refund, seller paying return shipping regardless of their returns policy. I'm sorry you are encountering this many problems. Ive had numerous buyers claim this for multiple items as not as described but it was I that took the picture, produced proof of our item and Ebay all but says so what?" "Time and again some buyers lie for either free goods or they didnt like the item and create a false claim using the not as described choice for free returns. ![]()
